Our founder and president, Vince Phelps, is a lifetime resident of Central Virginia and a 1988 graduate of Virginia Tech. He serves on numerous local Boards including the Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Plantation and Bedford Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past board member of the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund. Unlike most builders, Vince was not born out of the construction industry. In fact, most of his experience with construction prior to founding VC Design & Build in 2008 came as a customer of construction where he completed nearly $6 million of residential and commercial building projects. Using the many lessons learned during these projects, VC Design & Build has defined its processes with the customer squarely in mind. Our objective for every project is to “Build from the Customer’s Perspective” while delivering unsurpassed quality and customer service.
